Here are the level one training module descriptions, these are subject to change dependent on the availability of visiting lecturers. The next training begins in May 2025 and will now be offered online, with the option to attend two of five modules in person.
This means, if you cannot travel, you can take part, live, in all 220 hours of the training via Zoom.
If you can, or are based in London, you can join Carolyn in Battersea for the first module in May, and the fourth in September, as she hosts these two modules in a hybrid format.
Measures will be put in place to ensure that anyone joining the online offer of these two modules are included, fully, throughout.
Carolyn has considered the times, the reflections of those who have been in touch about the training, and the desire to extend our aim of inclusivity to our global community.
A large percentage of our existing teachers are international, and many would never have been able to access the training had it been held entirely in London. We feel it is important to continue this way, but also know that, as we move forward, many yearn for, enjoy, and thrive from, an in-person experience. Much planning has gone into this new format and we are confident it will deliver.
To be clear, the 2025 offer of our 220-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Training takes place:
Module One: 2nd – 5th May, 2025: Join in person, in Battersea, London. Or attend via Zoom.
Module Two: 6th – 9th June, 2025: This module is entirely online.
Module Three: 4th – 7th July, 2025: This module is entirely online.
Module Four: 5th – 8th September, 2024: Join in person, in Battersea, London. Or attend via Zoom.
Module Five: 3rd – 6th October, 2025: This module is entirely online.
As a community, Kundalini Global aims to include everybody. Our support network for graduates teachers will always include both online and in person offers. Sometimes these lean toward online, simply because our teachers are all over the world.
The practice sessions between modules will be online and, for those who cannot make it to London for in person modules, future offers of in-person workshops, to hone in-person teaching skills and to socialise with other Kundalini Global teachers, are offered annually.
Kundalini Global is, in so many ways, about stepping beyond, or sitting calmly between, the polarisations we are endlessly invited to pick a side in.
In a supervision session earlier this year, Carolyn invited that teachers reflect on the concept of “dancing on the crack in the human psyche.” What position can we take, could we take, between the polarities? How would that feel?
The frustration of those who speak of “Zoom fatigue” and the upset of those who feel left out when finances and commitments mean that to travel to workshops or trainings is impossible, are two common polarised views. We hope that this offer sits calmly in the centre of this. And know, as the many testimonials on our website illustrate, that the predominately online nature of our training works. It builds life long connections and both creates and nurtures excellent, capable, open-minded, teachers.
