Bio:
I’m a priest in the Church of England, a member of the Quakers and a trained spiritual director. Previously, I’ve worked as a university academic and a Human Rights Lawyer. I got clean and sober in 2012, and lived with Benedictine monks in Yorkshire for 3 years. I served my 3-year curacy at St Luke’s in Chelsea, and then became Associate Rector at St James’s Piccadilly.
In February 2022, I left stipendiary parish ministry in order to work full-time at the London Jesuit Centre in Mayfair where I’m now the Acting Lead for the Spirituality team.
CLIENT FEEDBACK
“I benefited from the ability to be in my body, with anxious everyday thoughts set aside for 90 minutes, setting me up for the week ahead & a refreshing physical workout in the process!”
At the LJC in Mayfair, I run the embody programme which shares the wisdom and practices of Kundalini Global in the context of Christian spirituality. I teach Kundalini Global as a fun, playful and accessible spiritual practice that helps people towards a place of stillness and safety in which a transformative encounter with their version of the divine becomes more possible.
embody is an in-person 90-minute class on Monday evenings, offered as 5-week courses than run continuously in term-time. I also occasionally teach online, including a short 30-minute early morning class called The Reboot that runs for 10-30 consecutive mornings (depending how much time and stamina I have to run it!), or a 5-week course of prayer workshops with more input and conversation about how breath and bodywork combines with Christian spirituality. In Autumn 2023, I’m expecting to start offering residential retreats at the St Beuno’s Jesuit Spirituality Centre in North Wales.
Time and time again we can feel lost, be lost, anxious and worried – and this style of yoga really allows our most authentic self to unveil and with the ability to know how to self regulate, it’s incredibly empowering.
