Carolyn is a London-based yoga teacher and psychosexual and relationship therapist. Prior to her career as a therapist, she was a fashion designer and photographer. During the 1980s, she earned acclaim as a makeup artist in the pop music video industry. Most recently Carolyn founded and launched a new form of yoga, Kundalini Global, in answer to the rapidly growing and profound need for yoga to become more inclusive and serve a wider demographic. Cowan is also an international Kundalini yoga teacher. She said she discovered yoga in India and is heavily inspired by Hindu spirituality. During an interview with British Vogue, Cowan said, “yoga builds confidence, connections and friendships. It eases loneliness, gives you faith in yourself. By attending a regular class, you join a community and a worldwide tribe; with yoga as a part of your focus you can go on to train as a teacher, empowering yourself and changing the lives of others.”
In 2019, she was named among the top 16 yoga teachers in London.
In addition to her therapy practice, she also provides training for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction as well as sexual compulsion, compulsive porn, shopping, gambling and cutting through her Mastering the Addictive Personality Teacher Training course, which certifies the practitioner to work in prisons and rehab centers. Cowan explores addiction and anxiety through the lens of trauma, shame and abuse rather than the widely accepted 21-step disease model. Her other workshops focus on topics such as shame, the anatomy of posture and hormones, female arousal and menopause.

As well as teaching Kundalini Global classes, in 2020 Carolyn began offering Kundalini Global teacher training. Kundalini Global and its teachers adhere to the view that yoga has the power to deal with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, negative history and physical responses to trauma in the body.

Hello my name is Eleni, I am a Kundalini Global Yoga Teacher and Reiki Healer (2nd degree) a singer/songwriter, queer and my pronouns are: she and her.
I don’t think I’m considered a “yogi” in the usual sense -I’m more like the yoga person next door! It had never crossed my mind before that I could become a teacher. I just wanted to learn more about the Kundalini technology, because when I started practicing it a few years ago, I felt the benefits from the very first class. I was amazed by the calmness that I felt after the first Sufi Grind. It was definitely love at first sight.
That is why I decided to learn more about it and join Carolyn Cowan’s training. And I can now say with no doubt that it’s been the best thing I have ever done for myself. It has made me realise and strongly believe that this knowledge needs to be shared with others.

My life has changed dramatically. Amongst the many benefits I have experienced, my stress levels have gone down, I feel stronger than ever and it’s made me appreciate my relationship with myself and others. It is a blessing and a huge joy to be passing on the gift of Kundalini Global and I can’t wait to show you how you can also change how you feel, inside and out!
At the moment I teach classes in Greek! But there will be classes in English soon.
Rainbows and love, Eleni

I have undertaken further trainings in teaching yoga as a tool for addiction and anxiety recovery, for pregnancy /postnatal, and in using the breath to regulate emotion, lessen anxiety and create profound changes in how you experience the moment.

I am creative, (working hard on being less) chaotic, and I really love what I share: working with the body to help soothe the mind. I teach online on Tuesdays evenings. Find the link to book on my website.

Fidan Huseyni

My name is Fidan & it means baby tree, Sapling. Everything I am and all that I offer to the world is with the intention to ignite growth.

In 2019, Kundalini Global Yoga found me and lovingly supported me during a difficult period of my life. I was depressed, anxious and felt completely out of love with life. I walked into Carolyn Cowan’s class one day and after regularly attending, I noticed that I’d walk out feeling lighter, calmer and happier. I had no idea what was going on but I kept going back. Little did I know, this practice was helping me regulate my nervous system, create balance and as a result, it changed how I felt…this is where the magic happened. I fell deeper in love with KG when I experienced its loving, non-dogmatic, and radically inclusive nature.

In 2021, I became a teacher with the intention to feel more empowered, to better hold myself in tricky times and to share these powerful practices with my community. Having experienced firsthand the huge benefits – both immediate and long-term – I’m naturally eager to share this ancient and sacred technology with the world!

My wish is to create a compassionate, inviting and potent space for transformation, with integrity and devotion. My teaching style is kind, internationally flavoured and joyful. Join me on the mat and let’s do something amazing!

Tina Maria

My name is Tina Maria. I am grateful to be part of the 2nd cohort of teachers to have trained with Carolyn Cowan in Kundalini Global.

Discovering the need to regulate oneself is both daunting and humbling. Learning that we CAN regulate and then be given these amazing tools to do so is empowering beyond measure and I fall short in expressing just how much of an impact that has had on my life and the way that I choose to live and teach yoga.

My previous training as a mindfulness teacher and facilitator has a strong influence on how I approach teaching a Kundalini Global class. My intention is always to take you on a journey of selflove & compassion and my classes are generally very gentle and soothing – even when encouraged to take yourself on in more strenuous postures.

It is my genuine belief that compassion is one of the most impactful and beautiful gifts we can give ourselves and others and as such the innate compassion, that we as human being are able to access, is what I hope to guide you towards.

Kundalini Global has the profound power to transport you to another place within yourself. And you might discover, that it seems to actually transform the world you inhabit – quite an extraordinary thing to experience. Please join me!

I teach online every week via zoom in English and have weekly in-person classes taught in Danish – in Denmark.

Hi, I’m April! I live in Colchester, Essex and am passionate about all things yoga, music and food! I’ve been weaving these passions together and am lucky to spend my days catering retreats, teaching yoga (often accompanied by food!), playing drums in a band and working on an exciting new project – Yoga for Musicians!

I absolutely LOVE Kundalini Global and am on a mission to bring this incredible yoga practice into the world of music – teaching yoga through the lens of a musician for musicians! Music has been a huge part of my life and having experienced many of the common challenges musicians face, I feel passionately about sharing this practice and all that it can gift to us!

I hope to meet you somewhere in this space soon – head over to my website to find out more and to join a class!

Hi there, I am an American living in London and am a full time Astrologer, Gong Practitioner and a graduate from the first cohort of Kundalini Global teachers.

For over 20 years I have been following Ariadne’s thread by tying together various esoteric disciplines to create my own unique blend of therapeutic practices.  In 2019, I founded Black Cygnet Wellness, a wholistic service that supports clients with tools and techniques to develop a deeper awareness within themselves.  My personal aim is to create a container of support for self-actualisation.

I do believe in the Hermetic principle that the macrocosm of the cosmos is reflected in the microcosm of the body.  This to me is one of the compelling reasons that astrology works so well.  There is an old saying, Sapiens dominabitur astris, which roughly translates to the “wise shall exercise dominion over the stars” and in my work I enjoy illuminating the correspondences between that which is above and that which is below .

Ultimately and simply, my yoga classes are designed to help others reach a greater sense of awareness and perspective, to gain ‘dominion’ over the chaos of our lives.  Yoga is not just about the physical body as there is also the mental, spiritual and emotional body too which is why I am often focused on the integration of esoteric concepts with the science of posture.   I am currently offering online Moon Immersion courses that blend yogic practices with our relationship to the cosmos and the phases of the Moon.  Please check out my website for more information on services, events and classes.  Hope to meet you soon.

Discovering Kundalini.Global yoga, created by Carolyn Cowan, after over 11 years of practising yoga led me to qualify in the first cohort of graduating teachers because of the profoundly transformational effects of this radically inclusive practise.

For over a decade, I have been privileged to build my experience learning from world-renowned teachers. Alongside other disciplines, inspired by the ancient traditions of indigenous people and the natural world, it is a privilege to be able to bring these elements together in order to share the extraordinary benefits I have experienced firsthand with others, whether recovering or rehabilitating from stress or anxiety, or simply striving to live peacefully in our modern world.

Lucy Spragge is a Kundalini Global teacher and a trained Hatha teacher based in Bristol and Ibiza.

She has been practicing yoga for 23 years and is particularly interested in harnessing these extraordinary practices to recover from anxiety and addiction states. She is fascinated by how we can use Kundalini Global to change hormonal flow and powerfully manage stress and emotions.

Lucy believes that Kundalini yoga can give us awareness and space to choose how we respond to life. When landing in the body we can  begin to still the mind.

“The true connection I have felt through my practice, discovering something greater than myself, has been a huge part of my own recovery from my addictive and anxious nature and I can’t wait to share the tools that have helped me so much with you.  My intention is to hold a safe space where people can trust me to show them how to initiate a change in how they feel. We all have our story and emotional responses to life – This is an invitation to experience the quantum field of possibilities and the way we can transform through the breath, posture and intention.

Rae Bown-Williams

I trained with Carolyn Cowan at Kundalini Global, completing the 220 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2021.

I am a Fight and Intimacy Director for Theatre, TV & Film and teach Dramatic Combat to Actors in Training at UK Drama Schools and Universities as well as Florida State University. I came to this work via Shotokan Karate in my youth, gaining a 1st Dan Black Belt, and training as an Actor at Rose Bruford College.

My work with Performers is rooted in intention and breath. My work as a Kundalini Global Yoga Teacher will continue to work with breath and intention but with the welcome addition of self regulation, working with the stress system, empowering all my clients to find an uplifting ease and stillness in a busy world.

Hello, I’m Lauren. I grew up in Kwa-Zulu Natal, a province beached along the east coast of South Africa. She is home to the Zulu monarchy and, adorned with the magic of Indian and Muslim culture, is aboundingly rich in her diversity.
I have lived and worked in New York City for the past decade where I’m now accompanied by my partner, our Bullmastiff, and the rulers of our residence- our two cats.
I have a deep interest in taking ourselves back, in stepping into our dreams, our wishes, in manipulating our own quantum fields. I have a deep interest in our innate magic, in esoteric philosophy, in theology and spirituality, in breaking the spell that has been cast over us- causing us to forget our own power. My classes are built around gifting you with the tools to experience and expand that innate magic that is available to you always. I am focused on creating a space for you to take a deep dive into yourself, to maybe fall in love with who you are, or with who you plan to become. I invite you to come home to yourself.

I trained to teach Kundalini Global, having trained and taught in other traditions for many years, after I experienced first-hand its powerful effect on my own mind and body, in particular in regulation of my nervous system.

In-keeping with the Kundalini Global ethos of radical inclusivity, my classes are suitable for all and open to all (with the exception, currently, of pregnancy) but I offer one free weekly class which also takes specific account of CFS/ME, Long Covid and related conditions, including those who are working for any reason with neuroplasticity programmes such as DNRS and Gupta Programme.

My name is Julie. I am from Wales and I am currently based in Dubai. I am an Apprentice Herbalist and ongoing student. 2021 Kundalini Global Graduate.

The teachers training brought huge transformations, shifts and much stillness into my yoga practice. The more stillness, the more I can hear my own voice, my feelings and my truth. I am passionate that we can do so much when we can allow ourselves to feel still enough, safe enough, to be and fully connect. I know for me when I practice my mind gets hooked up to a big bank of creative thoughts, I am present, I feel charged up – and with the release of endorphins, it’s all so heavenly.

If I had to choose one core value to live by it would be FREEDOM. That’s why I love Kundalini Global so much, we are trained to teach with so much freedom in our approach to class, such as prayer, posture and music, and that’s my goal to gift that back to community – to encourage freedom of thought, authenticity, confidence in self and you-ness!

I really look forward to sharing these tools in my classes, that have held me up so much, and taught me that it is ok to be me.

Katrin is a Kundalini Global Yoga teacher, based in Hamburg, Germany.

I have been practicing yoga for more than 25 years. In every phase of life it has inspired and moved me. Always different. But it has always strengthened me. Whether as a daughter, architect, interior designer, pregnant woman, sister, mother, colleague, friend or wife

I have been very challenged, especially when my husband Laurent passed away in 2019 as a result of a brain tumor. Especially in the time between diagnosis and his death, yoga carried me, strengthened and comforted me, when I felt weak and deeply sad.  Because of this existential experience I decided to take the Kundalini Global Teacher Training with Carolyn CowanI learned how to use my breath, postures and my intentions to transform myself into the person I wanted to be.

This training has saved me back into my life and I am so grateful to be able to share all these tools with you!

I’m Vic. How lovely you’re here reading this. Has anyone told you how much of a miracle you are today? Seriously. The odds are against us being here. Kundalini Global has supported me in moving through great pain and difficulty to connecting back to the wonder of life and all its possibilities.  KG has taught me how to feel safe in my body and ground myself when life gets life-y. From here, I’ve been able to change things for the better and move beyond an unregulated nervous system and old coping mechanisms seeking safety in all the wrong places. This practice has brought me laughter, community and a deeper connection to a divine force. Teaching the practice is one of the biggest joys in my life!

In class with me, you’ll find grounded neuroscience and education on the nervous system interwoven the mysteries and esoteric thought around our practice. We’ll build strength, stretch and find stillness with a playful attitude to the tune of eclectic playlists. How’s that for a few wiggles on a yoga mat? I can’t wait to meet you!

Over the past six years of practicing Kundalini Global I have come to experience the true power of this incredible form of yoga. I began training with Carolyn Cowan when I was going through some really difficult times and it would not be an exaggeration to say it has saved and changed my life.
I firmly and completely believe in Kundalini Global’s ability to radically transform habits, body chemistry, mental processes and the internal relationship to the self and body. It has drastically helped me with my own recovery from addictive behavior and chronic anxiety.
Based in Cairo, Egypt, I am working towards focusing my practice on recovery as I continue to learn more about trauma, addiction and mental wellbeing.
